Presidential Aide Says Building Boom Across the Country Will Create Jobs and Boost Business

The Nigerian presidency has declared that the country has turned into one giant construction zone, with the government betting big on roads, bridges, and other infrastructure to jumpstart the economy.

Fredrick Nwabufo, President Bola Tinubu's senior special assistant on public engagement, made the statement on Monday while touring road reconstruction projects in Kogi State alongside a presidential media team.

"The entire stretch of the country is one massive construction yard right now," Nwabufo said during an inspection of the Kabba-Egbe-Omuaran federal road in Yagba West. "This tells you the priority the Tinubu administration has placed on infrastructural investment."

According to the presidential aide, these projects aren't just about fixing roads they're about creating economic opportunities for ordinary Nigerians.

"Investment in infrastructure doesn't only improve accessibility but also boosts economic activities," he explained. "When this work is completed in the coming months, more commercial activities will be stimulated around this corridor."

The delegation, which included Sunday Dare (special adviser on media and public communications) and Tunde Rahman (senior special assistant on media and special duties), is touring projects across Kogi State to assess progress and showcase the administration's achievements.

Nwabufo emphasized that the construction push is happening nationwide, not concentrated in any single region, as part of the government's "Renewed Hope Agenda."
