ADC Unveils Aspirants in Benue South Ahead of 2027 Elections

Stakeholders of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Benue South have formally unveiled aspirants for various political offices ahead of the 2027 general elections. The development took place during a strategic meeting held at the party’s zonal headquarters in Otukpo, where party leaders and hopefuls reaffirmed their commitment to unity and electoral preparedness.

The meeting brought together aspirants contesting for positions across all levels of governance, including State Houses of Assembly, House of Representatives, Senate, and the governorship. Participants represented the nine local government areas within the Benue South senatorial district.

A key outcome of the gathering was the official presentation of aspirants, aimed at strengthening coordination and fostering cohesion among party members. Discussions also centered on consolidating grassroots mobilisation efforts and outlining a structured roadmap for the party’s activities leading up to the elections.

The ADC National Chairman, David Mark, conveyed a message of assurance to members, emphasizing the party’s resilience despite recent legal challenges. He stated that the party remains firmly positioned and will participate fully in all forthcoming elections.

Speaking at the event, party leader Sir John Ngbede described the meeting as both timely and strategic. He noted that the ADC is focused on reinforcing internal unity, reviewing its mobilisation strategies, and preparing effectively for the political engagements ahead.

The meeting was attended by several key figures, including the State Party Chairman, Rt. Hon. Samson Okwu; Secretary of the State Leadership Team, Prof. David Salifu; and senatorial aspirant, Dr. David Olofu. Other notable stakeholders present included Chris Adaba Abah and Mrs. Abeje Egwa.

Participants engaged in extensive deliberations, with a shared resolve to strengthen the party’s influence in the zone and improve its chances in the 2027 elections.
