Nigerian Air Force Neutralize Borno Terrorist Hideouts Through Airstrikes
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) counter-terrorism operations in Borno State has destroyed terrorist hideouts and logistics structures at Biramiri in the Gezuwa general area of the state.
This was disclosed on Tuesday in a statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information, Headquarters Nigerian Air Force, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame.
According to the NAF spokesman, coordinated precision strikes were launched against the targets, leading to the destruction of key terrorist facilities through credible Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance which identified terrorist locations in the area.
Ejodame stated that “The coordinated attacks destroyed key terrorist facilities and neutralised several fighters, further crippling the operational capacity of the insurgents,”.
The director said sustained air offensives has continued to create fear and confusion among terrorist elements across the Sambisa axis.
He added that intelligence assessments showed growing apprehension and disorientation among the insurgents as continuous bombardments denied them freedom of movement and safe havens.
NAF said it would continue working with troops of Operation Hadin Kai and other security agencies to keep pressure on terrorist networks in the North-East.
