Protesting Nigerians on Thursday stormed the streets of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja, demanding the rescue of abducted schoolchildren and teachers in Oyo state.

The protesters, who converged in large numbers, were heard chanting, ‘Tinubu must go’, ‘Rescue them or resign’ and ‘Bring Nigerian children now.’

They were also heard telling the operatives of the Nigeria police that it was their fundamental right to stage the protest, asking them to cooperate.

One of the protesters who was talking behind the camera told a man in his car, “Oga, Tinubu must go. You see what is happening today. You people are also part of it.

“Take this video. I’m going to post to you. I don’t need any permission. You are a big man. Oga, go and tell people that you witnessed this thing.

It will be recalled that gunmen abducted schoolchildren and teachers in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.

Meanwhile, Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has said that he knows the politicians behind the abduction.

Teachers under the aegis of the Nigeria Union of Teachers on Monday staged a nationwide protest in the various states, demanding urgent rescue of the victims.
