Everton Enter Race for Levante's Prolific Young Striker Etta Eyong.
Toffees join Ipswich in pursuit of 22 year old Cameroon international as Moyes eyes attacking reinforcements
Everton have reportedly made contact with Levante regarding a potential move for talented young forward Karl Etta Eyong, as David Moyes looks to bolster his attacking options ahead of the new season.
The 22 year old Cameroonian has caught the eye in Spain with an impressive goal return over the past two campaigns, netting 27 times across all competitions. His breakthrough came in the 2024-25 season when he bagged 20 goals, with 19 of those coming for Villarreal B in the Spanish third tier.
However, the Toffees face stiff competition from newly promoted Ipswich Town, who have already opened talks with the La Liga outfit as they prepare for their return to the Premier League.
Levante are thought to be holding out for around £30 million for the forward, who is open to making the switch to English football.
The Merseysiders may need to offload some attacking talent to fund the move, with Thierno Barry attracting interest from RB Leipzig. The Bundesliga side have been in contact with Everton over a summer deal for the Frenchman, and a sale could pave the way for Etta Eyong's arrival.
Portuguese striker Beto is also on the radar of Italian clubs, meaning Everton could be facing a significant reshuffle in their forward line.
While Etta Eyong's form dipped in the latter stages of last season he managed just seven goals in 2025-26 after a blistering start that saw him contribute five goals and three assists in his opening eight games his raw potential clearly appeals to Moyes.
The Everton boss believes he can develop the "born finisher" into a more complete player, though the Toffees will need to put together a compelling package if they're to beat Ipswich to his signature.
It remains to be seen whether Everton will formalise their interest with a concrete bid, but the enquiry suggests they're seriously considering the Cameroon international as a summer target.
