Filling Stations Slash Petrol Prices After Dangote Refinery Cuts Fuel Loading Rates

0:00 0:00

Various filling stations have cut their petrol pump prices following Dangote Petroleum Refinery's latest price reduction in its depot.

‎The refinery recently lowered its ex-depot price for fuel to ₦1,250 per litre from ₦1,275 per litre, triggering fresh adjustments across parts of the retail market.

‎Reports says Sunday showed that petrol prices in several parts of Lagos ranged between ₦1,272 and ₦1,295 per litre, with marketers adopt different pricing positions after the refinery's price review.

‎ However, NNPC Retail maintained a pump price of ₦1,295 per litre.

‎Outside Lagos, an NNPC Retail outlet in Abeokuta was also selling petrol at ₦1,295 per litre.

‎The latest retail prices indicate that some marketers have begun reflecting the impact of the refinery's revised ex-depot rate, although price disparities remain across outlets.

‎With Dangote Refinery's new gantry price now in effect, market participants will be watching to see whether additional filling stations adjust their pump prices in the coming days.
