NIGERIA PRESIDENT MARKS DEMOCRACY DAY WITH NATIONAL ADDRESS
Today in Nigeria marked it's democracy day,of the most significant political anniversaries.in a nationwide broadcast, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu praised Nigerians for sustaining 27 years of uninterrupted democracy rule since May ,1999.
In his statement,he called on citizens to stand firm on its democratic defense, institutions which include the judiciary, parliament,the press, and civil society.he plead that political parties and security agencies to ensure peaceful elections in upcoming governorship polls in Ekiti and osun State.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu states that the 2026 budget commissioned 5.1trillion naria for the defense and security of the country , engaging the terro relating debt of 2015 which is been reduced by 80%.
However paying a tribute to those who rose and fight for democracy,and he urges we focuses and strengthen democracy.
