2027 Race Heats Up as Hayatu-Deen Joins ADC Presiden

Mohammed Hayatu-Deen has joined the 2027 presidential race under the ADC, increasing competition within the party and highlighting the importance of unity as it positions itself as a major opposition force.

Mohammed Hayatu-Deen has officially declared his intention to run for president under the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the 2027 elections, joining other major contenders such as Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, and Rotimi Amaechi.

He said his decision to run was driven by worsening economic hardship, rising food and fuel prices, insecurity, and what he described as a disconnect between the government and the people. He promised to stabilise the economy, improve security, create jobs, and restore trust in public institutions using his decades of leadership experience.

His entry into the race strengthens the ADC’s role as a growing opposition platform, but also increases competition among top aspirants. He warned that the party’s success in 2027 will depend on its ability to remain united despite rising ambitions.
