Tinubu Advances Plan for $516m Loan, Awaits Senate Decision

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has asked the Senate, led by Godswill Akpabio, to approve a new $516.3 million loan from Deutsche Bank to help finance the Sokoto–Badagry 1,000 km Super Highway project.

The Senate President has referred the request to the Committee on Local and Foreign Debts, which is expected to review it and report back within one week.
