The Possibility of a One-shirt, Thousand styles inspo

0:00 0:00

You may think owning that particular favourite shirt and getting to wear it once in a month, so you don’t get caught repeating it, is the best way for you to ssshandle it, because people already know your style, they know how you put it on casually, or the particular skirt or trouser you’re always found with whenever you wear the shirt.

To you that’s the only combo it can be that shirt and that particular trouser/skirt, there’s no other way it could look better, that’s what you believe!!!

Alright, I think it’s time to adjust that mentality a little bit, coz, seriously, there’s a bazillion ways a fashion fanatic would show you how to style that one shirt.

But I’m not here to stress you, plus I’m not even a fashion fanatic, just here to update that old, repetitive method you use in styling your shirt, offering you simple and practical styles.

I’ve got suggestions for you to step up styling your collar shirts.

For that collar shirt, whatever the colour may be, I present to your four ways you can wear it for four different occasions, even if you wish to use the four methods for a single occasion, that’s also very fine.

Ready? Let’s begin, shall we?

a. The first is styling an armless sweat shirt over your collar shirt, it may be that you’ve thought about this idea, but didn’t think it’ll look good, well trust me collar shirts go pretty well with armless sweat shirts and because I’m not sure about the colour of your collar shirt, I’d advise you put them on with black bottoms (trouser/skirt), like I said, not going to stress you or make you sweat on it.

Occasion: This combo is a good choice, if you have a job interview, project defence/dissertation, corporate meetings, to mention a few.

b. Do you know that collar shirts, whether its button-up, or polo can fit for a walk/jogging outfit.

• Style with hand bands

• Sleeves folded ( if it’s not short-armed),

• Fold one end of shirt into the outfit below or create a knot by tying the two ends of the shirt together,

• Shorts or joggers below

• With cans or sketchers to complete the outfit.

Occasion: Yes, it’s dope, and as said earlier, this can be worn for a walk, sports photo-shoot, jogging etc

c. You still want to look on point with that collar shirt, but you’ve got no armless sweat shirt, you’ve got a longer sweat shirt, or, you’ve got the armless sweat shirt but the weather requires an anti-cold outfit.

The fact is, the long sweat shirt can still do the job perfectly, maintaining your style while keeping your body warm.

So put on that longer version.

• draw the collar of the shirt out to overlap the sweat shirt,

• Then tuck-in the down layers of the shirt into the bottoms, ill suggest black bottoms once again, because black can go with almost everything.

Occasion: This outfit is most suitable for rainy/harmattan seasons, majorly for corporate occasions, giving you comfort and style.

d. The last suggestion for the collar shirt inspo is plain, just wearing your collar shirt, but accessorizing your wrist and neck, not like you wouldn’t accessorize for the other inspos, but this time you’re going plain.

• Make your accessories stand out and do the talking,

• Black or ash or navy-blue bottoms, tucked-in,

• A cap or scarf for the ladies, I’d suggest dull coloured head wears to complete the combo.

Occasion: Church, Outings etc

There you have it, one-collar shirt, with many simple and nice blends to go with, you no longer have to wear that shirt once in a blue moon, and just because you fear people might see it as your identity.

Wear nice scents/perfumes to round it up.

Plus, it’s not enough that you implement all these combos, you need to wear them with confidence, you may be looking really nice and get compliments from almost everyone, but once you don’t feel good about yourself, you will not rock that outfit well, so, as long as you wear that outfit, also put on your confidence to buttress the whole look.
