Tinubu Commissions Gaduwa Road Project, Vows Equal Development Across FCT.

President says every district in Abuja must feel impact of Renewed Hope Agenda.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu officially opened the newly developed Akinwumi Ajibola Street in Abuja's Gaduwa District on Wednesday, making good on his promise that no part of the Federal Capital Territory would be left behind in his administration's development plans.

The project, which covers Important Local Streets 16, 18, and 19, was commissioned by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, who stood in for the President at the ceremony.

"This isn't just about opening a road it's about restoring dignity to residents who have waited years for basic infrastructure," Tinubu said through Akpabio. "In this government, we don't just make promises. We deliver finished work."

The newly constructed road comes with proper drainage systems and streetlights, which officials say will cut travel times, reduce wear and tear on vehicles, and boost property values in the area.

Tinubu didn't hold back in praising FCT Minister Nyesom Wike for changing how projects get done in the capital. According to the President, Wike has put an end to the old pattern where contractors collected money but never started work, and where inner roads were ignored while major highways got all the attention.

"You inspect, you correct, and you finish," Tinubu told Wike directly.

The President also had a message for Gaduwa residents: take care of what you've been given. He urged them to keep drainage channels clear of rubbish, protect streetlights from vandals, and report any damage quickly.

"Our job is clear finish what matters, connect what was divided, and make sure every naira spent shows up as real value for our people," Tinubu added. "Every district deserves access. Every citizen deserves to feel the government's presence where they live."

Wike explained that the commissioning is part of a 31-day celebration marking the third anniversary of the Tinubu administration. He recalled that when he and Minister of State Dr. Mariya Mahmoud took office, the President gave them one clear instruction: don't neglect any district, whether in the city center or in satellite communities.

That directive, Wike said, has guided road projects across Jahi-Gwarimpa, Katampe, Guzape, Kwali, and now Gaduwa.

"No district will say it hasn't felt this administration's impact," Wike declared. "We're letting our work speak for itself."

The minister also fired a warning shot at the Abuja Municipal Area Council, telling them not to rename federal government roads without getting proper approval.

Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, the FCT Minister of State, called the project another major step in the capital city's ongoing transformation. She thanked everyone involved from President Tinubu and Minister Wike to traditional rulers, community leaders, contractors, and the residents themselves for making the project a success.
